Billboard charts

Associated Press has been sending an advisory on the broadcast wire about
a pending change. As of September 4th, AP "will provide Top 20 lists
only on best-selling singles and albums. All other charts will run only
10-deep."
They are also asking stations which repost the Billboard lists on their
web sites (via AP) to include a link to Billboard's website.
This makes me curious about:
1) How many stations actually make use of music charts via wire service;
2) Whether stations guage their local music selections based primarily on
Billboard, R&R, Gavin, or Zelda the tea leaf reader?
Any reactions?
