The only ones pushing that  line today, at least here in my area, are the W.
Palm Beach TV stations.  I think if radio stations battled for ratings as
hard as TV stations do for their newscasts, we'd see a difference.

Along TV lines, I've always been curious why so few, if any of them, use
audio compression.  TV audio, at least locally, is often dull and flat.  I
wonder if the TV station production departments care much about more than
their video. Whereas radio stations do all they can to enhance their audio.

For a too-short while earlier this year,our cable company applied audio
compression across the board..and man, did TV sound so good!  Plus, the
compression kept those commercials from being so LOUD.
