"The New Howdy Doody Show" aired in syndication during the 1976-77 season
and was shown locally on Channel 38.  It apparently did well in the
midwest, but died on the coasts.  "Happy Harmony," who was Dilly Dally's
teacher, was played by Marilyn Patch.  She also occasionally talked to a
handpuppet, whose name I can't remember.  The show also featured a new
Howdy Doody puppet with 1970s-style long hair.
