WLAM listeners get their morning sports fix

Legendary Portland TV sportscaster Frank Fixaris has been lured out of
retirement to join Bud Sawyer's morning show on nostalgia WLAM
(106.7/870/1470) in the Portland/Lewiston area.  He apparently started
on Monday and delivers sports news during the station's
twice-per-hour newscasts in morning drive.  Fixaris was a fixture
(sorry:) of WGAN-TV's evening news broadcasts for decades before he
retired a few years ago.  Kudos to the management of WLAM for its
second major coup of the year!
