I am not sure if "WMLO" stood for something-- I hope the original ownership
papers are around somewhere, or perhaps the current owner knows.  My Radio
Annual from 1963 has them as owned by United Broadcasting, with John
MacLellan as President, and says they went on the air in 1960.

I do know that WEEI's Glenn Ordway was PD of WMLO in 1974, and at one time
in the late 70s or early 80s, Anthony Silva and Diane Stern of WBZ worked
there too...
