More Local Radio Void

Another wild weather night, parts of the Merrimack Valley area getting hit
with more rain and several rivers and streams overflowing their banks, with
evacuations taking place in Tewksbury and Lawrence.Once again,no local
radio to the rescue!! WLLH is in their time brokered Spanish music
programming,WCCM is also chugging along with Spanish music, and WCAP is off
the air!!There was a brief power surge that knocked out power briefly in a
good portion of the Lowell area just after 8:30PM,and apparently that must
have knocked WCAP off the air.I know they have a backup generator at the TX
site, guess it didn't kick in.At least we can count on WBZ News(???)Radio
1030,they spent less than a minute on the flood situation in their 9PM
news!!I am getting all the info on the flooding situations in the area from
my police scanners!!! Real news radio, with news as it happens,no
commercials either!!!
