Considering their use of a 24 /7 satellite format with minimal local
talent and staff, would a 1 share allow this station to be profitable?

Yes, if its co-owned by an FM; so that ratings wold be combined. If that
1-share were on a station owned by non-group owner, then it would not. Stand-
alone AM's, in order to get noticed by any agencies must rack up about a 3.0.
And if the stand-alone AM does that, then some languishing FM will take notice
and change to the AM station's format, then the AM would be wiped. Can't
win, (UNLESS you're doing it for fun & personal contentment, hobby, etc).
