WBZA/Springfield, MA

One of WBZA's transmitters (a Western Electric model) sits at the WILD
transmitter in Medford. It has been, for the most part, gutted for parts
over the years. I had a chance to visit the site in 1989 and saw the unit.
An engineer friend of mine told me that this was the WBZA transmitter. I
did see the one-bay FM antenna on the top of the WILD stick, as well. This
was cut for 104.1 MCs. Yup, it was the late WBMS-FM.
