Subject: Transmitter sites: 590 and 890.

Given the fact that WBPS-890 would have a nearly nonexistant night signal
if they were to move their transmitter site to Medford.....

Could 890 end up transmitting from Medford ONLY DURING DAYTIME HOURS, then
at sunset, turn that transmitter off and turn on the existing transmitter
in Ashland? A split-site (day/night) transmitter might provide a strong
daytime signal in Boston, and then some nighttime reception, whereas
otherwise, reception of 890 at night might not be possible except right
around Medford and in Revere, Saugus, and maybe Lynn and Nahant.

Although not an engineering type, I suspect the 580 in Worcester (WTAG)
would preclude Salem from moving the 590 site to Ashland. But were it
to be made possible, you could then have both stations diplexed to north-
 east/east/southeast day and night.
