I hope this was meant to be humorous.  If so, it should have been noted
somehow.  If not, it is totally out of line and inappropriate.

Such bigotry. I don't think you could get away with such a statement regarding
an ethnic group or women, but apparently being prejudice against a whole
generation of people is OK.
