Story in today's New Haven Register reports that financially strapped
urban WNHC (1340) is almost certain to be sold to Yale Broadcasting,
with SFX fronting the money, after Buckley Broadcasting announced it was
no longer interested.

Speculation in the article is that Yale/SFX will consolidate the urban
format on WYBC (94.3), turning WNHC over to student trainees and
community groups. This would give the New Haven market two college AMs,
Quinnipiac College-owned 1220 (brainlock on call -- WQUN?) being the
other.

Hey, it would beat leased ethnic! Is _this_ the future of AM?
