So do I. Nothing wrong with something being depressing. Not only are songs
supposed to reflect someone's life, they're supposed to produce an
emotional reaction, just like any form of entertainment. And this one did,
and did so in an original way. It's very easy to say something's bad and if
you don't like it, then I guess it is, for you.
Here's my favorite along these lines: "Pretty Pretty," as sung by Helen
Reddy in the mid-70's. Went nowhere of course, but it was clever and told a
shocking story.
