Further thought on Walt Dibble

        In a message I sent to the AIRWAVES on-line journal, I added this
about Walt:

        In his first years at WTIC, coming over from the local top-40
powerhouse, he helped it modernize its news gathering and presentation. It
was a period in which WTIC dropped the NBC hourly news as the core of its
presentation, with local before and/or after, in favor of its own newscast
at the top and bottom of each hour.
