I also was a big Major Mudd fan as a kid. I remember seeing him live at
a theater in Stoughton. No real memory of what his stage show was like,
just that he wouldn't give autographs -- one hand was bandaged and
swollen.

Didn't Major Mudd and Channel 7 get into trouble with PTA types because
of his showing Three Stooges shorts? Thirty years later, of course, the
Stooges are staples on Pat Robertson's Family Channel!
