a rerun, of a sort

As I write, WRKO is airing the Bob Brinker show (Sat 11pm - Sun 2 am), and 
while these financial guys tend to repeat the same advice a lot, Brinker 
sounds rather more repetitive than usual tonight.  And the callers sound 
just like the callers in the previous hour.  Uh oh: the segment from 12:30 
to 1 is being replayed now at 1:30!  Boy, it must be the summer rerun 
season :-) 

But it's not a mistake: not exactly.  The engineer on duty says he's making 
up for a technical glitch.   Usually he tapes the first hour of the Brinker 
feed (10 pm - 11) while the locally produced Steve Wiseman show is on.  He 
presents Brinker straight from the feed 11 to 1, and then plays the tape 
from 1 to 2.  This week, the 10:30-to-11 segment wasn't recorded 
successfully, so he played the good half-hour from the tape, and had to 
fill the remaining time with something!
