Re: WEZE "Million Seller Radio"

Greetings !!!
WEZE/1260 was playing the oldies from 1972 through 1974 under the
moniker Donna mentioned and "Z-1260". It was a super sounding AM station
in its' day. Some of Boston's great jocks took residence during WEZE's
all-but-short heyday as an oldies station. But FM was really taking a
dent on 'EZE's ratings with the then-automated WROR-FM ("The Golden Great
98") coming on strong with its' solid FM Stereo signal hitting 4 states
and WEZE barely covering the market with highly directional AM signal.
By Spring '74, the elevator music came back to 1260. They did try to
go with an "Album 1260" format that went NOWHERE FAST in 1977. By 1978,
1260 went the paid religion route and has been there ever since. What
a station it was.
