Yes, but just because it didn't work at KHJ doesn't mean it won't work,
if executed differently. Besides, KHJ spent a little bit too much time
with lifestyle reports and music, rather than getting to the heart of
the matter--the traffic reports....An idea might be to use capsules of a
certain length (a la CNN Headline News),, further divided by geographic
areas within the capsule, NO music, or lifestyle reports, just traffic
and things pertinent to traffic, like weather forecasts, period. Okay,
maybe the format is a little too much for a 24 hour operation, but some
enterprising individual could buy both AM and PM drive time slots (maybe
even a 'lunch hour' segment) on one of our beloved brokered stations,
and actually put the station to use!!
