I don't get all the talk about 1150's horrible signal in Boston. Although
1150 is probably the only station licensed to Boston that does not put 25
mV/m on the waterfront, the signal is plenty good downtown--about 15 mV/m.
And since the removal of the 25 mV/m requirement, 1150 meets all signal
requirements over its COL.

You mean WGNG, I think. Several stations around here have had the WGTR
calls--an FM in Paxton and an AM in Natick, but never the 550 in Providence.
