FM Quadraphonic

WHCN in Hartford was also a quad station. Technically quadraphonic was
fine, The biggest problem was that you had to be in the right spot
between the 4 speakers, and even then the improvement between stereo and
quadraphonic was small compared
to the improvement from mono to stereo. Of course it din't help that few
records were
recorded in true quadraphonic and fewer yet, of the ones that did, did a
good job at it.
Quadraphonic was an economic failure.

Maybe with modern genetic engioneering,   some of our kids will have four
ears, and quadraphonic will be a retro success!!
