96.7 WCME Boothbay Harbor, Maine was off the air for about a month after
their simulcast partner 95.5 WXGL Topsham was sold. For the last couple
weeks, the station has been signing on daily at 6 AM, playing music with no
commercials, just liners and ids and signing off at 11 AM. Apparently, this
is the owners attempt at keeping the license current while he tries to sell
it. Meaningful service? Hardly, but it is probably enough to satisfy the
FCC.
