WORL History continued

The station was sold by Roger Babson to James Phelan, William Eynan, and
George Crockwell. It first operated as Crockwell Broadcasting, and it moved
its studios to Boston on 21 April 1936. Before it went dark in 1949, it was
listed in Broadcasting as being owned by Broadcasting Service Organization
(initials BSO were the remnants of the old Babson calls), with studios at
216 Tremont Street; Robert Perry was the PD, George Lasker was the GM.
