I have only heard FM DX once, back around 1960 or so.  One Saturday
morning, I turned on my FM radio and found a station where none had been
before, and it was carrying NBC news.  Since Boston had no NBC affiliate
on FM at that time (WEZE was NBC on AM), I was curious.  My first thought
was that there was now a WEZE-FM.  As I listened, the station IDed as WTIC
in Hartford.  Hartford?!  I'd never heard of FM DX before, but I soon
discovered a couple of New York signals as well.  It was less than an hour
before these DX signals had faded to the point of being unlistenable.
