Actually, whether they are required at all to identify W284AB depends
on the type of transmitter. If it is a purpose-built translator
transmitter, the rules require that it be equipped with an automatic
identifier that does Morse code in AM or PSK on the FM carrier. In
this case, it is not necessary for the primary to identify the
translator at all, since it identifies itself.
