There was also WXCN in Providence. WMTW-FM on Mount Washington was also
carrying Concert Network programs for awhile. It died sometime in 1968 or
so, gradually at first, with a change to what we now call "beautiful
music" in the daytime and classical continuing in the evening. Then it
changed to progressive rock, sometime in 1969 I think.
The newspaper report that I read at the time indicated that WBCN had never
shown a profit as a classical station and was now changing for that
reason.
