There are a couple of my former WCRB colleagues who can beat that. Dave
Tucker started at WCRB when it first went on the air in 1948 and retired
in 1995. Dave MacNeill started in 1950 and retired in 2009 when WCRB was
sold to WGBH.

The memorial service for another long time voice on the Boston airwaves,
David Elliott of WHRB, will be held on May 13. WHRB will interrupt its
spring Orgy season to broadcast the service live starting at 3 PM. David
started doing air as a student in the early 1960s and was a fixture at
WHRB until 2018, when a speech impediment he had developed turned out to
be an early symptom of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). David passed away in
December, 2020, but Covid delayed his memorial service until now.
