Dick Flavin RIP

WBZ-TV reports their former political reporter & satirist Dick Flavin passed
away today at the age of 86. Flavin was a speechwriter for Senator Ted
Kennedy & Boston Mayor Kevin White before transitioning into TV in 1971,
when WNAC-TV Channel 7 hired him as their political reporter. A couple of
years later he went to WBZ-TV where he enjoyed a 14 year run. After leaving
Channel 4 he travelled the country on the lecture circuit, and later became
the poet laurate for the Boston Red Sox.
