Retirement tonight (12/9) of Pat Callaghan of NewsCenter Maine (WCSH Portland / WLBZ Bangor)

Pat Callaghan will be retiring this evening after 43 years(!) as a reporter
and as principal news anchor at the two stations.  His career has been
featured in brief retrospectives on the evening all week long.  Following a
stint at New  Hampshire Public Broadcasting, He joined WLBZ in 1979 and
shortly afterward moved to the sister station in Portland, where he has
remained since.  He will certainly be missed --- a truly outstanding TV
journalist.
