I'm saddened to share news of the death of Ron Gitschier, who I'm pretty sure was a member of this list since back at the very beginning. Ron was from the Merrimack Valley, worked at WLLH early on, then had a long career in the Navy before retiring to Florida, where he worked for a group of stations in the Palm Coast/Flagler Beach area, serving as both engineer and news director. He recently became a grandpa (and was away in northern California visiting his grandchild while I passed through his part of Florida a month ago), and died suddenly of liver failure early this morning. He was just 56. s From supersport@maine.rr.com Thu Nov 8 14:05:12 2018 From: supersport@maine.rr.com (Supersport - Scratchy 45s & Beyond) Date: Thu, 08 Nov 2018 14:05:12 -0500 Subject: Boston-Radio-Interest Digest, Vol 22, Issue 114 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <166f4b6be88.27cb.54ab37cb0377a2135b14c271ee66f0d0@maine.rr.com> That stinks! But you're right about 94.5-HD2 being queasy listening now. BTW, I have noticed that said AM680 is suddenly a lot stronger after dark than it's ever been. Maybe for a few weeks now, it's actually listenable indoors instead of static and skip after dark. What happened, no more sundown power cut?
