We had a summer place in Hampton Beach, and an old TV with the rotary dial tuners on VHF and UHF and an antenna in the attic. WGBH-TV did not sign on until noon on Saturdays back then, and on Saturday mornings we could watch WESH-TV in Daytona Beach FL clear as a bell, no fading or drop outs, perfect color until WGBH signed on. On UHF, I once got a station in Peoria IL, but there were many others that I've forgotten. -----Original Message----- From: Boston-Radio-Interest On Behalf Of Scott Fybush Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2018 11:36 AM To: pariho@mail.com; Boston Radio Subject: Re: Tropo Time E-skip, actually... tropo ducting doesn't usually give you that much distance. s On 6/21/2018 11:25 AM, pariho@mail.com wrote: > Tropo Time! > Yesterday 6/20 on Rte 150 in Kensington NH, I picked up WJDQ 101.3 > Meridan MS (Q101) destroying WVQM. It looks to me like they are leveling off the ground adjacent to the tower (the place where the earth pile is, is downhill somewhat from the existing tower). Given the size of the pile of earth, it didn't seem to me that this was to construct a house (and who'd want to live 100 feet from a tower?). I am wondering if either WUBG or WNNW, or both, is planning to build an additional tower(s) to upgrade the nighttime service.
