Chip Hobart was an outstanding DJ at WRKO and again at WEZE (when they were Z1260 in '73).  This was WRKO's run at making itself more progressive.  Notice all the name-dropping that Chip did in every break.  And playing David Bowie at that time was certainly the way to make your station sound hip at the time...  And I knew all about "Hip," I was 15 years old.   ;-)
