When Hillary Clinton did a three minute appearance on the NBC entertainment
show "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 3, NBC told its affiliates that these
affiliates may have to grant equal opportunities for other candidates to
appear if they request it. Now Donald Trump will host on Nov 7 and the same
rule applies. It falls upon the affiliates. Cable stations aren't subject
to it.

I recall Ch 56 couldn't show Ronald Reagan movies when he ran for President
in 1980 for fear of triggering "equal opportunities", but once the polls
closed they aired a marathon of them, "Ron Till Dawn". Would any NBC
affiliates decline to carry the Trump-hosted SNL out of the same worry?
