I've done extensive research on this.  The program did NOT air in 
Boston.  (Several newspaper columnists expressed their happiness that it 
hadn't, given what they were told was the problem the program caused in 
other cities.)  Mercury Theater was low-rated, so WEEI (which was the 
affiliate) aired a sponsored program instead.  The "furor" (which later 
turned out to be quite exaggerated) by-passed Boston completely.
