A few weeks ago a little before 8:00AM in the lsrge parking lot at Coolidge Corner in Brookline, I picked up WZBR 1410. It was not a strong or interference-free signal but it WAS listenable. I think it was simulcasting co-owned WSRO 650 licensed to Ashland (and transmitting from Framingham). 650 has a dynamite signal to the east of Framingham--at least by day. I assume that Alex Langer does not anticipate having 1410 simulcast 650 over the long run. Makes no sense except as a minimum-cost way of keepimg the 1410 license alive. There are lots of places where you can hear 650 but not 1410. I don't believe that there is any place where you can pick up 1410 but not 650.

It was yesterday morning, the last time I tuned in.
