Harvey Sheldon resurfaces after 50 years

The WUPI/WUPY tower was located at the Route 1/128 split on Route 1 South on a short road to the left of what is now Midas Muffler in Peabody.
The Dresser Ideco  self supporting tower was torn down about two years ago. The former Boston/New England RCA rep told me that it was
one of the only situations where RCA repossessed the studio and transmitter equipment but still lost money on the tower, antenna and transmission line.
