WBZ changes

I was pretty sure WBZ radio had simulcast the CBS Evening News for
some time (and I agree with you).
I did a web search and find it went back to July of 2006:

In that article it was said that at least the first segment of the
newscast would be available, to some owned stations such as WBZ 1030
and also other affiliates, and it quotes a CBS exec as saying:

"“Our goal on Sept. 5 is that whether you’re in your car, on your
computer, commuting, listening on your cell phone, or, God forbid, at
home watching television, that the CBS news will be available to you.”

This goes back to the debut of Katie Couric I believe.
