Almost impossible for the average person to buy a HD Radio

Living on the outer edge of the extreme Greater New York City area, 76 crow-flying miles from Central Park, the 12 AM presets on my car radio (isn't Sony optimistic ?) are set to:     WICC, Bridgeport; WOR; WNYC; WCBS; WELI, New Haven; WINS, WBZ, WTIC, WBBR, WQUN-Hamden, Conn.; WMMW-Meriden, Conn. (rebroadcasts Conn.'s oldest AM station, WDRC, Hartford). And one for whatever catches my fancy at the moment -- often used for WWKB or the former WTOP or 740 from Toronto or the Canadian on 900 that runs old radio dramas at night.
