I think the lesson that new franchisers have taken from this is that
the way Boston Chicken financed the expansion (including, if I
remember correctly, some questionable accounting practices) was the
problem that led to their failure.  Boston Chicken was financing
franchisees' real estate, as I recall.  Newer franchises like Panera
are requring that franchisees put up much more of their own money.

I don't believe so.  As an LPTV, they're not entitled to must-carry.
