I remember the Enterprise Sports Network (I want to say 82-83 time frame?).
I thought afterward for a while ESPN stood for ENTERPRISE Sports Programming
network, because of that radio venture (No Cable TV available in Allston at
that time.....also why V66 was so sucessful, all the college kids in City of
Boston didn't have access to MTV)
BTW...Was Boston the last "Major" city to get cabled up?

I'd always heard ESPN stood for "Entertainment and Sports Programming
Network." For what it's worth Wikipedia agrees.
Maybe that's how they can justify poker tournaments. :)=
