I watched the CBS hour....and wondered why I was listening to recorded "pop" 
(not "pops") music while the fireworks were going off...and not the 
orchestra.  The Boston pops only seemed to play for the 1812 and the 
'sing-a-long'.

Once they went to the fireworks display, they went to a some recorded 
tracks.

You mean the home screens?  The lyrics were on the jumbotrons for the people 
at the shell, right?
