WQYK (AM) Seffner-Tampa, one of several high-powered AMs dotted around
the south that were designed and built by the legendary Cyril Brennan.
He built AM transmitters that were happy with positive modulation
peaks of around 300% and also worked on some of the famed Mexican
border blasters. The super modulation stuff was long gone by the time
I heard the station, however. IIRC, WQYK ran all of the WFAN-only
content that I don't think the network affiliates were supposed to
carry.
