Yup I got the joke--even though I never really watched Dobie Gillis, I've heard the character Bob
Denver played would be shocked at the very idea of having to...WORK!! :) (Maynard btw is an
uncommon first name but my father, still around at 88 and retired, on Cape Cod, has that. So
does jazz artist Maynard Ferguson and former Atlanta mayor (IIRC) Maynard Jackson.
