Well, of course this is all speculation as usual; but with DTV the
traditional distinctions between UHF and VHF go away. The supremacy of
traditional VHF brands will certainly exist for a while, but in the age of
Internet distibution of everything, it's hard to see how the distinction
between VHF and UHF brands will survive in the long run.
NBC can stream Leno to your desktop and your BlackBerry and your iPhone, and
bypass the entire Boston broadcasting market, if they so choose.
Hello? It's been said before, but it needs to be said again: The Internet
changes everything. Absolutely everything.
