holiday songs that are torture

Where did this one come from?  I don't ever recall hearing it until 
the past 5-6 years even though it had to have been recorded in the early 60s.

The ones that sort of bug me are the songs that have nothing to do 
with Christmas at all, but are still considered Christmas songs; 
Frosty The Snowman, Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, etc.   The one 
that takes the cake "My Favorite Things".
