Best Wishes to a Boston broadcast legend Fred Cusick who turned 90 on Friday.

Best known for Bruins play by play on radio and TV, Fred also at one
time was editorial director at WEEI, news director and sportscaster at
WKBG and a number of other stations. He also did NHL play by play on
CBS Television in the 60's. He was also the PA announcer at Fenway
Park before Sherm Feller and in fact got Sherman the job because Sherm
was having trouble making ends meet.

He wrote a book 2 years ago that is a fascinating snapshot of radio in
Boston after World War II.

It is a shame that he has yet to be honored by the local Hall of Fame.

Happy Birthday Freddie.
