And Carl deSeuze also did children's television for awhile in the 
early 50s as "Uncle Carl," with a canine handpuppet named "Popo."

Back around 1980, I had a law student intern in my office who was 
writing a book about television history.  At some point, I recalled 
the Uncle Carl show on channel 4, and he wondered if it might have 
been Carl deSeuze.  So I called up WBZ just as Carl deSeuze was 
finishing his show and asked to speak to him.  It took several tries 
before I got him, but he seemed to enjoy remeniscing about it.
