And perhaps the funniest revelation from Steve and Alan's excellent new 
book (what do you mean you haven't bought a copy and read it yet?!?!) is 
that back in his WMEX days, Jerry actually WAS honored at several 
dinners, so all those years of "I never had a dinner" weren't entirely 
honest (even if they were great radio!)
