Maine Public Radio had an interesting story tonight about the impact that a
wind farm on Mars Hill in Aroostook County, Maine could have a significant
negative impact on the signal of WAGM-TV and Maine Public Radio's station,
which are also located on Mars Hill.

I know nothing about the science, but was surprised to hear this come up
now. This project has been on the drawing board for several years and has
all the necessary approvals.

Is there anything to the concerns?

A link to the story is below.

Opposition Grows To Windmills
It's not just bird-lovers who are concerned about 28 giant windmills
proposed for Mars Hill. Television viewers, cell phone users and internet
enthusiasts who lie within the turbines' electronic shadow may see a
disruption in service -- and the companies that provide those services are
upset. Fred Bever reports.
