"Hello, old sport" was among many genuinely expressed messages from Norm 
Nathan. There's no doubt that Norm influenced my approach as a talker, 
having grown up listening to him.  Norm was not home-spun for the sake 
of it, and was clearly a master at addressing one listener at a time.  
Norm Nathan's wit was as sharp and quick as was his cadence 
conversational and unhurried.
