WMEX 50 KW DA days

With WMEX, WKBW and WPTR in such close proximity on the AM radio dial it was
difficult sometimes to be sure which station I was listening to.

I grew up in Methuen, and nearby 1490 WHAV made it VERY difficult to get a
clear signal from WMEX.  I found one corner of the house where my
8-transistor Emerson portable radio could pull it in.  But I'm sure you guys
in Mattapan had no trouble at all.
