Why would NBC have to buy a station to move its affiliation?  All NBC 
would need to do would be to make the station an attractive offer.  I 
would think one of the UHF stations would jump at the chance to get 
one of the "big three" networks, and Channel 56 has some local news 
of its own.  Trouble is, they'd have to give up being THE Ten O'Clock 
News.
